What’s a Secret Cities Scavenger Hunt All About?
They’re about good times, my friend!
Think Amazing Race meets treasure hunt meets walking tour on RedBull. You’ll be exploring the city with your team on a high-speed race around town; finding clues, performing challenges – and searching for hidden gems that even the locals don’t know about.
Interested? Of course you are. So why not take some time out for a bit of happiness and adventure? Life doesn’t have to be so serious after all!
How it all works
Our scavenger hunts reveal the secrets of your city so you’ll have fun while exploring! We’ve gathered all the questions our ‘hunters’ ask us, if your question isn’t here, just email us at info@secretcities.com and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
Whether you come as a team or join a team on the day, you’ll be given a series of clues for what you have to find, do, or photograph (think making a human pyramid, or interacting with locals in the wild). You’ll be competing against other teams and will need to work together to complete the race.
Either! You can sign up as a team (up to 5 people), come with a friend or come alone! We will always make sure that you are matched with a team of friendly hunters.
- We love having kids along! Extra eyes at a different height are often excellent for spotting clues others miss!
- Every booking needs to have at least one 18+ year old, so if you are younger then you’ll need to convince an older friend/sibling/parent to come with you on an adventure before you book.
- You’ll need to book a ticket for kids, just the same as adults, but Under 5’s are free. Please remember this is an outdoor event involving exploring the city so factor that in when planning how you’ll get around on the day.
As you’ll be running around the city (having an awesome time!), wear some comfy clothes and shoes. Don’t forget sunscreen, a hat, a water bottle, and bring your best attitude!
Most hunts are two hours long. We ask you to arrive 30 minutes early for the pre-event briefing, and then hang around at the end to collect your winners prize! Our corporate and private scavenger hunts can be tailored to any length to meet your needs and specifications.
No! That’s half the fun. You’ll get to know all the best places with a bunch of new friends, while you complete challenges, speak to strangers and look for hidden clues. Sounds fun, doesn’t it?
Of course! Everyone can participate in our events. Please let us know of any mobility impairments in your team when booking, and we’ll ensure that you can participate fully.
We understand that sometimes plans change, so tickets can be cancelled and fully refunded up to 7 days in advance of a public event.
Yep! We run our events rain or shine. Who doesn’t love jumping in puddles whilst exploring their city?
